Exploring Jackson Michigan; Minard Mills County Park

Minard Mills County Park
Trying out different parks in the area, we decided to go check out Minard Mills County Park. This is a beautiful park with two waterfalls, two play areas, a picnic area, as well as restrooms. Although beautiful, there was not too much to keep the kiddos playing. The park has two distinct areas, the upper area, close to the parking lot, has a newer play structure for kids. However, it’s geared towards younger kids. With my kids ranging from 6-15, it was it took only about 20 minutes before I heard “can we go to that one park?”
The positives about the park: It was beautiful (would make a great photo shoot area) and the park was quiet (until my kids showed up, lol).
The cons regarding the park: The restrooms were locked, the playground equipment in the upper area was geared towards younger children, and the playground equipment in the lower area was very outdated.
All in all, the park was nice. However, it didn’t take long until the kiddos wanted to go to a larger playground/park.
